Pico provides artistic architectural support to an exotic heritage
The Guggenheim Museum marked its grand opening ceremony in Abu Dhabi, on the 31st of January 2007. This is a temporary art gallery intends to give a thorough treat to architecture lovers in UAE. This innovative way of bringing awareness towards the heritage of UAE, which will become the renowned Saadiyat Island was brought to a reality when Pico International Dubai secured the tender against four other bidders in the region.
The temporary art gallery that has currently launched the first phase at the Emirates Palace Hotel began operations on the 13th of November 2006.
A number unlucky for a few proved to be absolutely fantastic in terms of architectural support for Pico, as the dedicated personnel put in endless hours of hard work into bringing life into the dream of four of the world’s most renowned architects – Frank Gehry, Jean Nouvel, Tadao Ando and Zaha Hadid.
Pico had the opportunity of working on this 1.5 million$ project, by providing to the development in scope of halls, flooring, ceiling works, pedestals and furniture.
In conversation with Mike Chan, Mr Dharma from Emirates Palace hotel expressed that he was extremely happy with the work execution by Pico Dubai.
The importance of this project was adorned by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Executive Council Chairman.He expressed that,“It is our intention to shortly embark on an international competition for the design of the Sheikh Zayed National Museum which reflects the importance and centrality we place on this facility.”
The launch of the museum shall go down history as the second phase currently in progress.
World-famous auction house Christie’s Exhibit in Dubai
When art galore and exquiste execution work from renowned people come together it has to be an event that reaches out the masses in a magnamous way.
Christies and Pico International Dubai came together hand in hand during the Exhibition and Auction of some priceless and many antiques that would leave onlookers breathless for the second time in two consecutive years.
This year proved to be more prestigious than ever before as the exhibition kick started on the 29th of January 2007 and eventually led to the grand auction on two consecutive days ie: the 31st of January and 1st of February 2007.
Items on display included a rare Melo pearl, once owned by royalty. There were also sky high priced items like a single stone diamond ring by Van Cleef & arpel valued at 3.3 million AED.
Pico International Dubai provided excellent contractual assistance with lighting, branding and with the authentic build up of the venue. A project that was rightly valued at Five Hundred Thousand AED was executed 2 days prior to the event at Emiarates Tower Hotel.
Sony Bravia Launch
Home entertaintaiment system just got larger than life with the launch of the Sony High Definition Quality and building on the success of its market-leading BRAVIA™ LCD televisions.
The product that is held in high esteem was officially unvieled on the 29th October 2006, where Pico Interntional Dubai conceptualised the turnkey solution in terms of designing, and execution to a magnificient launch pad. The project worth 160 thousand AED, turned the press conference into a memorable time with a remarkble lazer show, folowed by the revelation of the product, with a “Kabuki drop”.
Sony Gulf has been a part of Pico’s retainer clients in the past and we have managed to provide them with continuos creative support backed by ingenious execution at all times.
In conversation with Mr Mathew Mathai, the senior manager for corporate communications mentioned that they were exteremly pleased by the way the launch had the press and media gazing at the power of expression and the power of the product, when stand alone in the market.
Ultra Edition-Samsung Road show
August and September 2006, catergorised as the hottest months of the year in the UAE were made trendy and arose interest in all the onlookers who visited Mall of the Emirates.
This was in direct reference to our retainer client Samsung who in association with Pico International Dubai organised a road show which promoted the Ultra Edition Mobile Phone. A project that was valued at $55 thousand, was able to reach out the masses and generate sales to the new product.
Designing, Build up of the Kiosks and Promoters were provided by Pico, the over all management of the road show was also undertaken by our crew members.
Panasonic at the Emirates Millionare Show 06
H.H. Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, The Chamberlain of the Presidential Court inaugurated the first Emirates Millionaire Show (EMS 2006) on the 14th December during an exceptionally alluring ceremony held at Emirates Palace hotel, Abu Dhabi.
The 3 day extravagnza, showcased the products of Panasonic, and the execution of the same was handled by Pico International (Dubai).
Panasonic, being Pico’s retainer client for years entrusted Pico with the designing & execution of their stand for exhibiting their products.
In active conversation with, Mr Atsushi Hinoki, General Manager – Corporate Communications Dep and Mr Sajjad Faleel – Assistant Manager-Corporate Commincitions division, they showed and expressed that they were extremely pleased with the design and execution exprtise provided by Pico dubai.
